Today the topic of my impromtu speech is that home is where the heart is. Home is the harbor of both our body and mind. Home is the never ever changed inner sustenance. Many people may say that where there is home, there is heart, but I want to say that where there is heart, there is home. Concerning this saying, I have three points to back me up.

Regarding the first point, if only we have love, and care for the parents sincerely, then home is just there near us. We still can be together if our hearts are connected. The reason why home is so important to us is that there are our beloved parents waiting for us. No matter how far we are away from home, their solicitude is always there. In the same way, whether we are near at hand or far away at the end of the world.

Take an ancient Chinese flood-combatting hero-Da Yu for example. At that time, Da Yu was assigned to combat the flood through water control. He passed his home three times, but never went in for a look. Didn’t he want to go in? I don’t think so. I believe he missed his family so much in his heart, but he knew what the more important thing was. Therefore, he put his home in his heart and regulated waters first. Accordingly, we can see that as long as we have a caring heart, home is not distant from us.

Secondly, where there is love and affection in your heart, there is your home. To illustrate, San Mao, a Taiwanese writer, and her husband, Hexi lived in the Sahara Desert happily. Though they lived in the harsh environment and they didn’t have enough food supplies, they were still contented with what they had got. Neither San Mao nor He Xi was the original resident there, but for love in their hearts, they treated there as their home. This fully explained why San Mao finally left the Sahara after He Xi’s death. If love has gone, then the home will not exist any more.

Bringing my arguments to a close, heart is the harbor of home. Only if we are full of love towards our families, home is always there with us no matter how far it is geographically.

The topic for my speech today is “Festival.” I would like to talk about my favorite festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival.

In China we have several important festivals, such as the Spring Festival, the Lantern Festival, the Dragon-boat Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival. Among them, I like Mid-Autumn festival best, especially because I live in iamen.

In iamen, when we celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival, we do not only follow the common practices such as having a big dinner party with our family, eating mooncakes, and appreciating the full moon at night, we also have one unique custom which is only practiced in iamen, that is “Bo Bing”.

“Bo Bing” is a very interesting game that almost all iamen people play during this festival. Usually family members or close friends get together around a table with a big round bowl in the middle and si dices in the bowl. We take turns to throw the dices into the bowl. We will get different prizes accroding to the different ways the dices show their upper sides. Everyone is likely to become the champion or “Zhuangyuan” for the year. There is an element of luck and equal opportunity in this game. So people usually get ecited while playing. Also, the game gives very pleasant sounds. The tinkling made by the dices falling into the bowl is pleasant, people’s laughing, cheering and applauding for the big prizes they’ve won is pleasant. All this adds greatly to the joyful atmosphere of this festival. As a kid, of course I also like the material prizes I get from the game, such as a candy or a cake.

In this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival, my family invited our foreign friends to come to our home to celebrate the Festival together. They have two children who are younger than me. While our parents were making Jiaozi together, we kids played “Bo Bing”. We bought quite some gifts to share with our guests as their prizes.They enjoyed the game and our get-together very much.

The literal translation of “Bo Bing” is “mooncake gambling.” But actually it is not gambling, at least our family never plays it that way. For us, it is more an occasion of happy sharing and getting-together. This is why iamen’s Mid-Autumn Festival has become my favorite festival in the year.

6、让个别的学生拿自己的实物说本课句型“I have got...&127;”每个学生说完,教师紧接着说:“Yes,you have got...&127;”初步呈现句型“You have got...”

7、电脑呈现句型:“You have got...”接着以上的情景,&127;荧幕上出现另一个人物Lily,Lily与Mike对话:“Hello,Mike.”“Hello,Liky.”Mike手指绵羊和山羊说:“Look,I have got a sheep.I have got agoat.”Lily说:“Yes, you have got a sheep.You have &127;got &127;agoat.”Lily举起手中抱着的小狗说:“I have got a dog.”Mike接着说:“Oh,you have got a dog.”根据电脑中的情景,&127;教师引导学生理解句型“You have got...”。

(说明:在检查学生对“I have got...”的掌握时,教师已初步呈现了“You have got...”这个句型,学生可能已注意到了教师所说的“You have got...”这个句型,但还不是十分理解它所表达的意思。因此这里再通过电脑中Mike和Lily的对话进一步呈现“You have got...”这个句型,并通过教师的引导,理解这个句型。在传统的教法中,由于缺少配合,教师比较难呈现这个句型,而这里运用电脑中Mikek和Lily的对话创设了一个真实生动的情景,使学生更容易理解。)

8、让个别学生拿自己的实物,让全班同学指着他/&127;她跟读句型“&127;You have got...”

9、同桌操练。用句型“I have got...You have got...”互相说自己和对方的东西,然后进行检查。

10、听录音,跟读课文。

2、运用电脑进行猜物游戏。电脑荧幕上出现一个小男孩李明和六个盒子,要求学生扮演李明任选其中一个盒子,&127;猜一猜盒子里面装有什么东西,并用句型"I have got..."说出答案。例如,学生选择第一个盒子,教师用鼠标指向第一个盒子,&127;则荧幕上的李明走过去拿起第一个盒子,这时在荧幕下方出现四种物品:橡皮擦,铅笔,尺子,铅笔盒。正确的答案是尺子。如果学生选择其它三种物品,如铅笔,&127;当教师用鼠标指向铅笔时,则在铅笔这幅图上出现一个红色的“×”,&127;同时李明手中的盒子里冒出一个怪物,并配有表示失望的音乐。&127;如果学生选择了正确的答案尺子,当教师用鼠标指向尺子时,李明手中的盒子变成了尺子,同时李明会说:"Yes, I have got a ruler."&127;学生选了正确的答案后,换另一个学生选择另一个盒子,游戏继续进行。&127;附电脑画面简图:

(说明:电脑游戏是学生所喜爱的游戏之一。&127;这里运用电脑技术把枯燥的巩固操练与游戏结合起来,形象生动,寓学于乐,&127;是其他媒体所不能取得的效果。)

3、看影子猜物品游戏。教师把剪好的各种物品的剪影放在投影灯下,让学生看着影子猜出是什么物品,并用“You have got...”这个句型说出答案。 &127;

(说明:这个游戏要求学生看到物品的影子,&127;既要猜出是什么物品,又要把它套进所学的句型中。&127;由于一年级的学生还保持着他们特有的童真,所以对于“看影子猜物品”这个游戏有着浓厚的兴趣。)

(四)发展

1、看录像编对话,播放三个对话录像,第一遍只放像不放声音,&127;要求学生根据录像中学生的动作、表情编对话,先小组内对话,&127;然后请一小组进行表演。第二遍配上声音,进行比较,看谁编得好。&127;录像内容如下:

录像1:录像中出现两个学生,其中一个学生手里拿着一个盒子,盒子里面装有一个雪梨,两个学生进行对话:

2、让学生用学过的句型编对话。先是小组内编对话,然后叫几组学生表演对话。

3、唱歌。让学生把自己的物品的英语名称换进"I Have Got A White Goose "的歌曲里。教师先作示范,然后请学生来表演。 &127;

first,let us look back to a accident at my age of 4 which occurred in my use of low frequency of returning to my hometown,i stayed unfamiliar with the transportation in the village road. one day, i happened to go across the road on my own. suddenly, a medium size of truck strike into my sight and consequently knocked into me. frankly speaking,when referring to the details of what had happened to me under the truck,my mind will go blank. nevertheless,it’s said that i had been hung under the truck for a long way. finally what counted most was my survival.

the second event should be my failure in the college entrance exam. regardless of lacking hard study in the first four semesters,i still kept myself one of the top students in our class. what was more, i had improved my attitude before the last semester came and progress had fellow it. as the saying goes, “life is full of uncertains”. on the day the result came out , i felt that the sky is falling which had last for several days. whereas,when i occasionally wander in this campus,when i just stand here to make a speech of my Unforgettable experience,i will by no means treat myself a “lucky dog”.

after these two events,there exist abundant reasons for me to hold the belief that my fate is full of luck and will forever be as long as i keep fight my way out with smile in my face. and that also told me courage. for me, having courage does not mean not to be afraid, but to have fear in my mind and just to do it meanwhile trying to make it. it just like i am standing here inevitably feeling a little nervous as well as holding faith in my heart.
